Gordy has kindly made available the Cross Country Vehicle Clubs regulations regarding recovery hooks. This is a very good guide for anyone wondering if they have recovery hooks or tie down hooks on their truck and if you are intending to install recovery hooks this is excellent as it details bolt size, bolt material, and bolt torque. It also talks about the thickness of the metal where you attach the recovery hook, chassis/bull bar.

It is of course aimed at CCVC members but much of the information is invaluable to all.

Tow Hook Rules

Thanks Gordy and CCVC
