Guys, here are a few simple site rules. With any luck most people on this site wont have to worry about the rules.

Breeching of any of these rules will result in the following action:
You will be warned and most likely asked to edit your post, or a moderator may edit it for you. This will be at the moderators discrestion.

Any User who reaches 2 warnings to their name will automatically be added to a moderation list. What this means is that all your posts will be subject to moderator approval before your posts are displayed. During your time on the moderation list you will also not be able to download any files from the forum. Warnings automatically drop off your user name in time so you will eventually be back to posting as normal.

Continued action that results in moderator intervention will result in the user being banned - including your IP address. Some breeches will result in instant banning. Any user who reaches 3 warnings will be banned for 2 weeks. Any user reaching 4 warnings will be permanently banned.



1 ) If you have concerns with a post made in the forum, firstly you should use the "report post" button that is at the bottom right of every post(exclamation mark - in a blue box). This will alert the Moderators to the post. If you feel the issue is not solved or you continue to have issues, PM the Moderators or the Administrators. DO NOT START A THREAD TO DISCUSS IT IN THE OPEN FORUM.


2 ) Posting of Spam - any user posting spam will have their account banned

3 ) Offensive Material - No offensive/explicit material, this includes and is not limited to the following; Pornographic(this will result in instant banning of user, no questions asked), Racist, Sexist material (images, web links, avatars included)

4 ) Opinions - Be respectful of others opinions on any topic, you may post replies but please be respectful of what others think on the same topic in question. Don't get upset over someone else's opinion. The moderators have to clean up after you've been so very brave abusing someone from behind a keyboard so try to keep it clean and be mindful of us.

5 ) Flaming - Do not verbally flame users, they have an equal right to post replies/topics on the forums as you do, so try and keep it civilised. This simply keeps Offroad80’s a friendly community that people want to come back to, unlike other forums where there is continuous bickering which does wear a little thin after a while, keep in mind other people are here for the same reasons as yourself. This also includes abuse via PM which will result in your access to PM's taken away.

6 )Multiple user accounts – any user found using multiple user accounts for the purpose flaming others, or causing general disruption to the forum will result in all their user accounts being banned.

7 ) Accessing areas that are off limits/illegal - Ok, most of us have all done it at some point, a public forum is not the best place to be bragging about what you have done in your 4wd or any vehicle for that matter. Just remember certain authorities may be monitoring this site for just this sort of activity. Don't give them the satisfaction by posting it up. If you post up this sort of material we will ask you to edit your posts. If you do not do this within a reasonable timeframe, all of your threads / posts in question will be edited or removed without question. Unless we choose to make an example of your stupidity.

8 ) Defamation - Slanderous posts or threads will be deleted, while we encourage people to share their experience, there is usually more than one side to a story. Resolving issues directly with the people concerned is the best way forward. Please only post if you are including all details as Offroad80s will not be used to take cheap shots.

9 ) Copyrighted Material - All material found on the internet is generally protected under copyright law. If you want to post something good/interesting you found on another site, post up the link. Copying the article can be looked at as copyright infringement and may lead to your post being deleted. 10 ) User Profile Requirements - All members are required to have at a minimum their state listed in the location section of their user profile, more detailed location info is optional. Also your cruiser model, year and transmission type are required and can be accessed and changed from your user profile.

Any action taken against users who abuse the rules will be at the Moderators and Administrators discretion. Bear in mind that some breaches you will not be warned

Displaying Vehicle Licence Plates in images - Not a hard set rule, but it is just something to be mindful of. Offroad80s.com recommends licence plates be blanked out - especially if your posting images of someone else's cars. There has been cases on other forums (none from here that we know of) of issues with the law, thieves etc..due to vehicles being recognised by their plates
